According to the report, Neil has an unanticipated overseas trip in store. He leaves Genoa City to visit Hong Kong for his business work. Meanwhile, Devon takes the opportunity to drive Hilary home. This gives them a chance to "spend more time together" and open up to each other. They talk about their "troubled pasts." At the same time, Cane and Neil make several calls and leave voicemails to Hilary and Devon but they are left unattended. When Neil returns, he surprises Hilary with her dream house.
Elsewhere, Victoria takes a decision of skipping the "paternity test." Summer is busy planning her wedding with Austin despite her family's disapproval. And to Nikki's surprise, Summer reveals that Sharon supports her decision of marrying Austin. Nikki meets up with Austin and tells him not to harm Summer.
Abby sees Tyler hanging out with a "new woman." Abby talks to Traci about her troubled love life and Traci passes on a "wise advice" to her. Agitated Lily schemes to bring Abby and Devon together.
On the other hand, Sharon feels the pressure of hiding her secret from Nick and how it could affect their relationship. After Sharon leaves for a photo shoot, Mariah and Nick get to spend some alone time. Mariah finally "realizes what a great guy Nick is." However, Mariah misapprehends Nick's motives. In the meantime, Sharon returns home. This leaves Mariah disappointed.
Victor receives the news about Phyllis waking up. He insists on giving her the "experimental drug." He is adamant on getting her the treated with the new procedure despite its potential risks.

Shemar Moore will reportedly "reprise his role as Malcolm Winters." However, his comeback is restricted to just two-episode storyline airing on Sept. 10 and Sept.11. Moore portrayed Malcolm as series regular on "The Young and the Restless" from 1994 to 2002. He made a return in 2004 and was last seen on 2005. The report states that Malcolm will return to Genoa City to "reunite with his family and make amends."
