According to multiple reports, the former WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is said to return to WWE TV again and with his return came speculations that he might manage WWE fighter Dolph Ziggler.
Ric Flair is going to make his TV comeback as early as Monday (July 14) at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia for the episode of "Raw." He is also scheduled to make an appearance at the taping of "SmackDown" in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on Tuesday, according to ewrestlingnews.
Cagesideseats reported the former "WWE Hall of Famer" was initially scheduled to appear at a live show at the Madison Square Garden this weekend. It's unclear whether he has been removed from the show prior to reports of his TV comeback on Monday.
Ric Flair's return to a regular show on WWE TV brings fans to question if he would be managing Dolph Ziggler.
Flair had reportedly told WWE several times that he wants to manage Ziggler, according to wrestlinginc. According to the site, one fan, Aaron Moss, claimed he saw Flair at an event the previous month. Moss said that while getting an autograph, he suggested to Flair that he should manage Dolph Ziggler and demand WWE to resurrect his career. According to Moss, Flair replied that he had tried asking the officials but they denied.
Ric Flair's last ring fight on WWE TV was on April 29 when he was paired with "The Miz," according to Inquisitr. His WWE career seemed to take a silent turn after that. On June 9, wrestlinginc reported that the 65-year old went to Pittsburgh for a medical exam required of him by WWE, in order for him to return as a regular TV character. He reportedly passed the exam and was soon expected to return to TV. Apparently, it took more than a month before the 16-time World Champion is confirmed for a TV comeback.
There has been some speculations that with his return, Flair would be paired up with "The Miz" again to continue their story. However, this is still uncertain since "The Miz" is reportedly already working on a gimmick as a movie star. Furthermore, he has already also made an appearance on WWE TV two weeks ago without Flair, according to sportsworldnews.
Ric Flair's return on the episode of "Raw" on Monday will be joined by other WWE TV comeback fighters "The Miz," Chris Jericho and AJ Lee, who all returned on the June 30 edition of "Raw."
