'Vampire Diaries' Season 5 Episode 12 Spoilers: 'So Painful and Wonderful' [VIDEO]

After hitting the show's milestone 100th episode, "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 episode 12 "The Devil Inside" is going to take its fans to the next level of vampire drama. CW has released a new TVD Season 5 episode 12 spoilers as Katherine's body went missing from the Salvatore's house.

While fans are expecting to say their goodbyes to "Vampire Diaries" temptress villain, TVD's 100th episode delivered a serious shock when Katherine took over Elena Gilbert's body. With this new twist, "The Vampire Diaries" executive producer Julie Plec assured TVD army that there is more to come and a lot of ground to cover.

"I love the next episode so much because it's this great fallout of everything that happened in the 100th and it's so much fun," reveals Plec as she talks about the anticipation of epsode 12, "The Devi Inside." "It's so painful and wonderful. I'm excited about the next few actually."

With Katherine enjoying Elena's body, Damon vowed to have his girlfriend back but surprisingly Stefan is not joining him to get rid of the evil doppelganger. Katherine will be working with her daughter Nadia to make the switch permanent and permanently eliminating Elena.

"Katherine's so into Stefan right now and so not into Damon right now, and yet Elena was about ready to re-embrace her relationship with Damon, and Damon was all ready to win back his girl, so you can only imagine how that's going to go down," says Plec.

Fans will be treated for the next upcoming episodes as Katherine will unleash her most diabolical after softening her stone cold heart from previous episodes. "The Devil Inside" will bring an epic battle between Katherine and Elena, and this season will surely bring an end to one of them.

"Katherine does some of the bitchiest stuff as Elena in the next part of the chapter. It's great. It's Katherine at her most diabolical," adds Plec.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 episode 12 is scheduled to be aired this Thursday, Jan. 30 at 8 P.M. on The CW.
