After speculations of how Titanfall will rank on the Xbox One in terms of its resolution, it has been confirmed that it will be coming to the Xbox One on March 11 with the same resolution as what was witnessed at beta.
This means that gamers can expect the game at 792p resolution, one that has been confirmed by developer Respawn Entertainment's lead engineer Richard Baker.
In an exclusive with Eurogamer, Baker said, "We're going to experiment. The target is either 1080p non-anti-aliased or 900p with FXAA. We're trying to optimize. We don't want to give up anything for higher res. So far we're not 100% happy with any of the options, we're still working on it."
However, none of these experimentations will be reflected at launch, as Baker has confirmed that all of the considerations for higher resolution will post-launch. What players can expect on day one is the same as what was witnessed during beta testing of Titanfall.
Australian servers potentially teased by Respawn boss?
Titanfall had previously received a negative spark from Australians, as the online multiplayer on the Xbox One had been revealed to now have native servers down under.
However, it seems that this may no longer be the case, if Respawn Entertainment head Vince Zampella's tweet is anything of a hint.
"We'll have good news soon for Aussies."
VG 24/7 has spotted the tweet, which was in response to a fan query on an answer about the MS servers for Australia. This may vastly improve the reception of the game in Australia and New Zealand, considering that local servers would make a big difference for a game that's reliant on network performance.
Sadly, not all regions are getting good news, as there has also been news of the cancellation of Titanfall's launch plans in South Africa due to the poor connection quality.
Ausgamers reports that the closest server that South Africans could have played on were in the U.K. and the Netherlands, compared to the slightly closer and more accessible Singapore and Hong Kong originally meant for Australia.
Hopefully, in Australia, it means assured local servers, but whether this will be available at launch will still require further confirmation from the developer.
