Samsung Galaxy S5 release date inches closer and it will not be alone at the Mobile World Congress. Samsung is expected to unveil its new flagship phone at the upcoming MWC event later this month.
Some carriers teased consumers with the arrival of the new smartphone. In Germany, mobile phone carrier O2 put up a teaser for the Galaxy S5 to build up the anticipation of users. The network even put up a Web site allowing the customers to sign up to get news regarding the Samsung device that "can do more," with a headline that roughly translates to "Anticipation High 5."
This type of Web pages was usually put up after the device was announced. It seemed O2 Germany was way too early but it could be a good marketing strategy. The Web site also said the smartphone will be launched at the end of February. But it is still unconfirmed whether the handset will be available right after the Samsung launched it.
Meanwhile, Samsung already sent out the invitations for its upcoming release date on Feb. 24 for "Unpacked 5" event. The event may also present other devices such as Galaxy Note 3 Lite and Tab 3 Lite.
Latest leaked benchmarks in AnTuTu showed two variants of Samsung Galaxy S5 will arrive this year. This allows the user to tap in anywhere on the screen to make use of the sensor's features. But Samsung still has not disclosed the official specs of the device and consumers must wait for the release date later this month.
