Looks like "Sam & Cat" is bound for a cancellation anytime soon. Following the alleged feud between its' lead stars, Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy, news has it that the latter is ready to leave due to the difference in their pay outs. Is Ariana Grande really paid more than Jennette McCurdy?

Rather than keeping the drama onscreen, it appears that the drama has escalated off screen as well. Reports suggest that there is "discord" on the set.

"There has been talk about discord on the set, with emotions running high and McCurdy and Grande sometimes showing up late," reports Deadline, adding, "The grueling, 40-episode shoot has been taxing on everyone. Additionally, McCurdy had been going through a difficult time in her personal life for the past six months and recently had to deal with the leak of racy photos, while Grande's music career has taken off a big time."

Could it be a fight between the lead stars, Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy? Well, Jennette's notable absence from the Kid's Choice Awards and her tweet basically explain it all.

"I was put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation (many of you have guessed what it is) and I had to look out for me. I chose to not go because sticking up for what is right and what is fair is what my mom taught me is ALWAYS the most important thing," tweeted McCurdy (via MStarz).

Aside from the "unfair situation," Jennette is also allegedly furious over the fact that Grande is paid more.

"Jennette is locked in a battle with the network over money, claiming that she is getting paid less than her popular co-star," reports Entertainment Wise.

So what is the future of "Sam & Cat" for now? Well, producers of the show have said that it would most likely go into hiatus. "Arianators" and "McCurdians" have to wait and see what happens between their idols next.

"We are wrapping up what was an unusually long production cycle of Sam & Cat, and everyone is understandably tired," a rep of Nickelodeon said to E! News, adding, "We are going into our production hiatus next week which will give everyone on the show a much needed rest."
