Earlier today, the 4-month-pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, wore a wrap around MaxMara coat for her first appearance after her pregnancy was announced.
It is true that the Duchess of Cambridge vows to stay fashionable despite designers asking her to "stop buying clothes." Catherine arrived in a grey and white wrap around MaxMara number for an Action on Addiction charity event. The Duchess paired the dress with gold accessories and her famous blow-dried hair.
The baby bump is obviously showing, making onlookers and followers even more excited for Catherine's fashion evolution during her pregnancy.
Just recently, designer Vivienne Westwood harshly commented on the Duchess' excessive need for new clothes to show on her appearances.
"I think it would be great if she wore the same clothes over and again, because that's very good for the environment and it would send out a very nice message." says Westwood in a report.
What Westwood did not know is that the Duchess purchased the MaxMara Dress at a discounted price, proving that she is indeed, practical.
Originally priced $525, the Duchess only bought the dress for half of its price at a sale during one of her maternity clothes shopping sprees.
Like everything The Duchess wears, the MaxMara wrap around gained much attention from social media sites like Twitter and Pinterest, and many have expressed their wants to own a similar dress.
"There really is a Kate effect...whether she's wearing J-Brand jeans or her Zara cape that she wore just a few weeks ago within minutes everything that she wears sells out," claims one high fashion stylist, Jamie Krell in a report by abc news.
What do you think of the dress? Is it another "epic" Kate Middleton look or is she starting to get fashionably boring?
