"Orange is the New Black" has been renewed for Season 3. Laura Prepon broke this news via her Instagram account. She posted a photo featuring a whiteboard, saying "It's official!! Season 3!!" The archetypal titles for Season 3 are written on the whiteboard.

Netflix confirmed the news to Time, but said that it would not release a statement confirming that it has renewed the drama-comedy for Season 3. However, the twitter account of Netflix shared Prepon's whiteboard photo, putting a stamp on Prepon's breaking news.

Prepon plays the popular character of Alex Vause, a lesbian inmate and Piper Chapman's ex lover. Later year after Season 1 wrapped-up, Prepon hit the headlines when an online site reported that the actress might not be returning for season 2. Later, it was reported that she will return for just an episode to wrap-up Alex's story line. Prepon has confirmed that she will be starring in four episodes of "Orange is the New Black" Season 2. The actress is set to return as series regular for Season 3.

The actress had revealed to The Daily Beast that she did not sign-up for Season 2 as a series regular. Also, she had not signed any contract, because of which "scheduling conflict" came-up during Season 2.

"But I love the show and I love my character, and I told Jenji from the get-go, 'I want to be in as many as I can.' So we did, and I'll be in four episodes for Season 2."

Prepon had said to The Daily Beast that she wants to be in every episode of "Orange is the New Black" Season 3. She had said: "And then if we get a Season 3, I'll be in every episode. I totally missed the show. It sucks, but there's only one of me, and there's only so much time in the day. We did what we could, and if there's a Season 3, I worked it out so that wouldn't be an issue anymore."

Possible Titles of "Orange is the New Black" Season 3 [From Prepon's whiteboard]:

"It is the Great Blumpkin, Charlie Brown," "I'm a B**ch Because I am Sad," "Sometimes Bad Things Happen to Bad People," "The Great Hate Fuck," "Back to the Rape Well," "Use Your Tears as Lube," "The Rapiest Pap Smear," "Heroin Robin Hood" and "Gay Feet and More."
