Oppo N1 'Mini' Surfaces with Swivel Camera Feature, CyanogenMod OS; Specifications, Photos and Sketches listed

The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) Web site listed a brand new 'compact' smartphone that looks a lot similar to the behemoth Oppo N1. The handset with the model number Oppo N5116 is inferred to be the mini version of the Oppo N1 dubbed as the 'Oppo N1 Mini'. The listed information on the web site consists of images, sketches, and several features.

The Oppo N1 Mini is expected to feature a 5 inches LCD capacitive screen, with 720 x 1,280 pixels display resolution. On the other hand the original and bigger Oppo N1 has a 5.9 inches IPS LCD capacitive screen, with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution. The device has the following dimension 148.4 mm x 72.2 mm x 9.2 mm and it weighs only about 151 g.

The camera specification includes a 13 MP camera unit with flash. Interestingly, the Mini version shares the same camera specification with that of the bigger Oppo N1. The camera is expected to feature the much-touted and well-received 'swivel' mechanism, which lets the camera to rotate at 180 degrees. Therefore, the single camera can act as a rear-facing as well as the front-facing camera unit.

This smartphone comes with a 2140 mAh battery, which is a step down from the original Oppo N1's whopping 3610 mAh battery unit. In addition, the smartphone will ship with a pair of white headphones, a data cable, and a wall charger.

At this point in time, these are the only revealed specifications. But it is worth noting that, the unique selling points of Oppo series of phones got to be the swivel camera and the CyanogenMod OS.

For those unfamiliar with CyanogenMod software, it is an open source operating system for smartphones, phablets and tablets. This OS is based on Google's Android mobile OS. It is developed as free and open source software pertaining to the releases of Android versions, with original and third-party code. The main attraction of CyanogenMod OS got to be the incredible features and options that are otherwise not seen in the official firmware from the device vendors.
