NBA Recap: Gasol Powers Memphis Over Portland (Grizzlies 109, Trail Blazers 99) [Slideshow]

    Marc Gasol had 19 to power the Grizz over the Trail Blazers. The Spanish center also added 9 rebounds and 7 assists for yet another all-around effort.

    Damian Lillard was the lone bright spot for Portland with 32 points. LaMarcus Aldridge (8/23 FG) and the rest of the starters struggled from the field (8/22 FG).

No thanks to the Memphis Grizzlies' stingy defense, the Portland Trail Blazers shot just 40.7 per cent from the field and couldn't get over the hump all night long losing 109-99 in Memphis. 

The power duo of Marc Gasol (19 points) and Zach Randolph (18 points) did the damage inside to deliver the victory to remain in the 8th spot of the hotly-contested final postseason slots in the Western Conference. Memphis climsb to 7th place with the victory improving to 37-26 in the regular season.

Dallas (which lost to the Golden State Warriors) dropped to 38-27 for 8th place just a game ahead of the Phoenix Suns (36-27).
