Motorola Moto X+1: New Leak Suggests 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB Variants, microSD Card Slot, 1080p AMOLED Display

Moto X is one of the widely appreciated phones from Motorola and the unannounced successor Moto X+1 made quite a news during the first quarter of this year. However, it's been sometime since there is no news on the Motorola's upcoming Moto X+1. It is worth noting that, the Moto X+1 is also called as Moto X2 and Motorola accidentally confirmed the existence of such a device in May.

According to TK Tech News (via Slash Gear), the freshly leaked image showcase the upcoming Moto X+1 handset. The leaked information also substantiates some of the much-anticipated specifications and features.

The smartphone looks a lot similar to the predecessor Moto X. It has curved corners, and thin bezels as seen in Moto X. The leaked image showed a champagne coloured Moto X+1. The Moto X+1 will reportedly be coming in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB variants. In addition, a microSD card slot is provided for further expansion. This handset will feature a 5.2 inches AMOLED screen and it packs a screen resolution of 1080p.

The device is expected to be powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 800) processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, with a good 2 GB of RAM. The upcoming Moto device will run on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. The phone will be equipped with 2,600 mAh battery unit.

In addition, the Moto X+1 camera is set to get an upgrade, but there is no word or confirmation on this particular spec at this point in time. Nevertheless, according to previous leaks, the handset will sport a 12 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera unit.

The Tech blog also reported that the expected launch date of this handset is set for late August or early September. However, the launch is completely dependent on the hardware availability for the camera upgrade.
