The Moto X is hardly 8 months old, but news about Moto X's successor, Moto X+1 or otherwise called as Moto X2, is already making news. The Moto X2 is expected to be launched this summer.

The Moto X has a 4.7-inch display, with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The 720p resolution was nothing but a huge disappointment, according to CultureMob. On the other hand, the Moto X+1 is expected to come with a bigger screen size of 5.2 inches with full HD 1,080p display resolution.
Hardware and Software
The Motorola Moto X is powered by a dual-core Motorola X8, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (MSM8960) processor, clocked at 1.7 GHz. It comes with a 2 GB of RAM. On the other hand, the Moto X+1 is reportedly powered by an improved quad-core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 800) clocked at 2.3 GHz and the same 2 GB of RAM.
The Moto X runs on Android v4.4.2 KitKat (initially, it was running on 4.2 JellyBean), while the Moto X+1 is expected to run on Android 4.4.3 version out of the box.
The Moto X sports a 10-MP (LED flash) rear-facing camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. Meanwhile, the Moto X+1 will sport a 12-MP, rear-facing camera.
The Moto X comes with 16/32 GB of internal storage with no microSD slot for expansion. The Moto X+1, on the other hand, is expected to give 32 GB of internal storage with no microSD slot.
The Moto X houses a good-enough non-removable 2,200 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Moto X+1 is expected to house a non-removable 2,600 mAh battery unit.
Both the phones support nano-sim.
The Moto X comes with black and white front panel and a customisable 18 different colour options for the back panel. Meanwhile, the Moto X+1 is expected to follow suit.
The Moto X 16 GB is priced at US$350. The Moto X+1 is expected to be priced slightly higher.

Interested buyers can get a 16 GB Moto X for $300 instead of the regular $350. Also, both the 32 GB and Developer Edition models can be purchased at $325; they are normally priced at $400 and $450, respectively.
