Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri began their world media tour at The Venetian Macao in Macau on Monday, Aug. 25 to kick-off the 12-day, 5-city promotional tour for their fight to be held on Nov. 22, 2014.

The fighters were with their respective trainers, Pacquiao’s world-renowned mentor in Freddie Roach and Algieri’s Tim Lane in Macau plus the promoters of the fight in Bob Arum of Top Rank Boxing; Joe DeGuardia of Star Boxing, Inc; Artie Pelullo of Banner Promotions; and Ed Tracy of Sands China Ltd.

Algieri is not the most popular choice for Pacquiao but will stake an immaculate 20-0-0 win-loss-draw record against the Filipino. The undefeated American beat Ruslan Provodnikov of Russia last June 14, 2014.

Pacquiao, who sports a 56-5-2 (38 KOs) record, has bounced back from rare back-to-back defeats to Timothy Bradley (June 2012) and Juan Manuel Marquez (December 2012) with victories over Brandon Rios, also in Macau (November 2013) and over Bradley in a rematch last April.

Pacquiao vs. Algieri will happen on Nov. 22, 2014 at The Venetian’s Cotai Arena and the fighters will slug it out of for the world welterweight title. View the slideshow for more pictures from the Macau press conference.
