It's been only a day since Marcos Rojo moved to Manchester United, but the attack-minded defender is looking forward to collecting silverware at Old Trafford.
"I have worked really hard for this opportunity and now I am at the biggest club in the world and I want to win trophies," the 24-year-old told Manutd.com.
The Argentina international came a long way before having to finally play in one of the biggest top-tier domestic leagues in Europe, spending three and a half seasons at Spartak Moscow and Sporting Lisbon after leaving his birth country as a 20-year-old.He definitely caught the eye of Louis van Gaal at the World Cup when the Albiceleste took on the Netherlands for a semi-finals clash.
"We played against his team in the World Cup and they were excellent," he added.
"When I heard that he wanted me to come here I was very happy but also very proud and very excited to get an opportunity at a club like this."
Rojo, 24, who already has 28 caps under his belt, can play centrally at the back or on the left side and is comfortable with the ball - a trait that would suit Van Gaal's attacking philophy.
