The tarp has finally been pulled as "Man of Steel 2" aka "Batman vs Superman" Director Zack Snyder let fans have their first peak of Ben Affleck in his batsuit with clenched fist and eyes on the ground standing mysteriously beside the iconic bat mobile.
Along with the black and white picture in atmospheric theme, the 48-year old US director tweeted to his 145,000 followers, saying: "I shot this with my @Leica_Camera M Monochrom. #Batman #Batmobile #Gotham http://imgur.com/3hRU6px." The picture has then become viral and has been retweeted over 43,000 times in less than 24 hours.
Fans who have taken their glimpsed at the snapshot are quick to express their varied view upon the revelation. General comments from Twitter users are mostly positive and they looked forward to the actual movie.
One user John S even hoped that he could make it as an extra on the background set. "Looks like it's going to be AMAZING!!," he tweeted. Another user Colton Dixon also posted: "Ben Affleck as batman. Holy poop I'm excited." Still another user Nick Sheets said that at least it was interesting and he was looking forward to see more of it. One user MTV could not help himself but scream as he posted on his reaction on his Twitter account.
However, there are also some users who had different take on the first photo. One user Cody Stoots said that it looks terrible. Another user Andrewlisation also tweeted: "This picture pains me."
As for Ben Affleck, it seems that fans are beginning to accept him to do the role. One user Jim Monasta posted that he thought the actor would not have the guts to wear the TDKR suit but he did it. On user Rob also commended the actor's slick look. He said: "Really going for the Dark Knight look. Nice!" One user Catherine Hirst said that the actor looks brooding and veiny with the get up.
The picture officially starts the reworking of the much-anticipated movie although the "Man of Steel 2" or "Batman vs Superman" title is still not official. With two years to wait until it's set release date on May 2016, there are fans who cannot hide their disappointment. As one user Daragh Murphy puts it: "YES. YES. YESSSSS!!!! 2 year wait???? Aaaaaaaaah."
