HTC 8X device, with 16GB built-in storage capacity plus restructured mobile operating system, is a comparatively good demonstration of what Microsoft delivers to the market. The device uses plain fonts and lines in creating a clean 2D user interface of tiles.

A noticeable feature in the HTC 8X phone design is the tapered edges. There is no delay whatsoever when opening applications or firing up the camera. Web browsing is smooth and applications like Mail, SMS or People Contacts are easy to use.

The HTC 8X excels both in the hardware and software aspects. The stylish Windows 8 is even insightful for the first-time users. For Windows 8 PC users, this handset will offer tight integration particularly with cloud services like SkyDrive and the People app.

iPhone 5 has discarded its 30-pin dock connector for a new Lightning charging port that is smaller but still works just as well. iPhone 5 supports 4G LTE networks and uses a nano-SIM which is even smaller than a micro SIM. In terms of storage capacity, the iPhone 5 offers 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
