The east coast is currently suffering a major hit by a Hurricane Sandy, as predicted by NASA and weather reports from the past few days. Waves brought by storm flooded and crashed surrounding communities, towns, and cities in the East Coast on Monday as they take a hit from one of the worst weather disturbances in years.

From New England stretching to North Carolina, residents were advised to evacuate their homes and businesses and take shelter in safe places and prepare for the "unprecedented" disaster.

"The most important message to the public I have right now, is 'please listen to what your state and local officials are saying.' When they tell you to evacuate, you need to evacuate," President Barack Obama announced to the people who will be affected by the hurricane.

In New York, dozens of film productions have been shut for safety, including Russel Crowe's "Noah's Ark." Among all of the productions being halted by Hurricane Sandy, Noah's Ark deemed the most ironic. Actress, Emma Watson, reacted about this incident in her Twitter account.

"I take it that the irony of a massive storm holding up the production." writes Watson in her page.

Before it hit the east coast Hurricane Sandy already did damage in the Caribbean. Forecasters have already coined the hurricane as a "powerful combo storm."

According to Eqecat, a disaster estimator, Sandy will unfortunately affect 60 million residents, almost 1/5 of America's population. $20 billion dollars' worth of damage is also expected as a turnout.
