It is not a dream gorging on your favourite chocolate fudge and ice cream that can help you lose weight. It may sound too good to be true, but Ella Woodward of Deliciously Ella and Saskia from Naturally Sassy made it possible.
They came up with a healthy recipes for chocolate fudge, banana ice cream and raw brownies that are capable of cleansing and detoxifying your body to a great extent. These recipes also boost up one’s metabolism. These items are called superfoods that are packed with fibre and super green powder.
According to the report from Daily Mail, the super foods are packed with powder that is loved by celebrities like Miranda Kerr and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. One such powder is spirulina, which is known to be a powerful antioxidant.
It also contains an all-important green tea powder extract and oat grass powder that facilitates the breakdown of fats to induce the process of detoxification in the body.
While talking about her healthy raw chocolate fudge recipe, Saskia said “this healthier version only requires 1 cup peanut/almond butter, 1/3 cup coconut oil, 4tbs pure maple syrup, 2 heaped tbs cacao powder and 2 tsp Organic Greens Complex." “Coconut is a great source of fibre that helps maintain a healthy digestive system, regulates bowel movement and stabilises blood sugar levels,” she further added. Cacao powder is also one of the best sources of antioxidants.
As explained by her, to make fudge all you have to do is melt coconut oil, add to a mixing bowl with the other ingredients and keep stirring until it turns into a smooth paste. Then pour into a baking tray and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes to set before slicing into squares.
Ella Woodward also spoke about her recipe for super food brownie that are packed with fibre.
“All you need is 1 cup medjool dates, 1 1/4 cup almonds, 4 tbs raw cacao powder, 3 scoops of Organic Greens Complex, 2 tbs of coconut oil and 2 tbs of chia seeds," she said.
“Grind almonds in a food processor for 20 seconds, then put the dates and add them to the processor with the rest of the ingredients. Blend everything together until the mix is very sticky and leave it in a baking dish. Freeze for about an hour to set, then remove the dish from the freezer and slice the brownies,” Ella added.
And to make the ice cream, Ella suggested to "slice four ripe bananas and freeze them for four hours before placing them into a food processor with 3 tsp maple syrup, 2 tsp nut butter and 1 scoop of greens complex and blend until smooth."
