Even though PAX Prime is over and done with, and Tokyo Game Show is now the next gaming event in the horizon, fans of "Halo 5: Guardians" and those who are awaiting news on the "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" may be happy to know that Microsoft has released more details straight from developer 343 Industries.
Developers gave fans a glimpse of what's going to happen before the release date for the next game, including what they had done with the upcoming collection.
"How do we make something a little more awesome than we did the first time with 'Halo: Anniversary in 2011? It all came down to going bigger," Dan Ayoub, 343 executive producer, said in the panel, as quoted by Xbox Wire.
Those who have been following the developments related to the "Halo" franchise, it's not a surprise to know that a live-action series will be coming in the form of "Halo: Nightfall," a project done together with Scott Free Productions. The developers have also touched on the Halo Channel, an interactive hub where "Halo: Nightfall" will air and one which will also feature new content tailored to the Halo community.
What's new in terms of the content would be the audio for "Halo 2: Anniversary." In the report, it was revealed that fans can switch between the old and the new graphics, as well as the music and audio effects.
This means that the music and audio from before have been re-orchestrated and made to be surround-sound so you can get into the game from all angles and senses. Check out a sampling of the audio for the new "Halo" in the video below.
Game Informer adds that Lockout was also showcased during the panel, where the developers showed fans some of the documents used when they were recreating the game. It has undergone a couple of changes since its conception, with the evolution documented in the images in the link above.
Add to that, "Halo 3" was also shown off, as it is also included in the "Halo: The Master Chief" Collection. Apart from being pushed to 1080p and 60fps quality, "Halo 3" has also been given new lighting effects and shades, which help amplify the experience when you're in missions.
