Ryan Gosling could be too hot to handle if he played Christian Grey in the much-anticipated "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie, if Anna Kendrick's racy tweet would be considered.
"Ugh - NEVER going to a Ryan Gosling movie in a theater again. Apparently masturbating in the back row is still considered "inappropriate,'" reads Twilight star Anna Kendrick's shout-out on Twitter.
The controversial tweet has so far been re-tweeted over 30,000 times and marked as "favorite" by nearly 25,000 users on the microblogging site. Kendrick, a former Oscar nominee for her role in "Up in the Air," has nearly 700,000 followers on Twitter. The racy tweet amused many, but it is only one of many funny tweets from the petite celebrity.
"Thought for the day: If I were going to take a naked picture of myself, I would at least clean my room first," reads one of Kendrick's past tweets.
Ryan Gosling as Christian Grey?
The overwhelming feedback sparked rumours that Gosling may have just risen to the top of Christian Grey candidates for the 'Fifty Shades' film.
A couple of months ago, Fifty Shades author E.L. James herself said Gosling was not a frontrunner for the Grey role. She said such rumours only started from a mix-up involving her husband.
"What happened is that [husband Niall Leonard]'s local paper, he's from Northern Ireland, there's a newspaper there called the Belfast Telegraph that reported on my husband being the inspiration for Christian Grey. Underneath it they put a picture of Ryan Gosling, as well. So, that's how that came about," James was quoted by E! Online.
James' statement does not eliminate the possibility of Gosling starring in Fifty Shades. She clarified the film production execs were still so far along in casting plans. This was in September last year.
Gosling, who was seen by Kendrick in the crime film "Gangster Squad," has been one of the earlier fan favorites to portray the role of Anastasia Steele's love interest in Fifty Shades.

Twitterverse: On Kendrick's Naughty Tweet about Ryan Gosling
I like the play by @AnnaKendrick47 of just letting her Gosling/masturbation tweet sit at the top of her timeline for a couple of days. - @JimmyTraina
Thank you Anna Kendrick for publicly saying it's OK to masturbate, though even I don't think a movie theater is appropriate. - @AskDrRuth
