The talks of who among Hollywood's hottest set to be cast in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" film continue. In fact, new names keep appearing on various web polls and potential actor and actresses list. Yet, Alexis Bledel of "Gilmore Girls" remains to be on top but there is one slight problem. Rumour has it that Bledel might be too busy not to consider playing the role of Anastasia Steele.
Lucy Hale was last years' strongest contender for the role of Anastasia Steele in E.L. James best-selling erotica novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey." Up until now, Universal Studios has not come up with a cast given the director's chair is still empty. Screenwriter Kelly Marcel, however, is working on the film's script which is one thing for fans to be anticipated about.
As for the official cast, nothing is still secure. Fans of "Fifty" still keep up with the web polls to see who among Hollywood's most talented and beautiful pose the potential to play the lead roles. Winning in a few is "White Collar" star, Matt Bomer as Christian Grey. Opposite Matt as Anastasia Steele, Alexis Bledel has been ruling the charts.
With Blede's' brunette hair and blue eyes, Alexis has got Ana's look down to the pat. Like the book character, Alexis exudes the innocent and virginal look despite her real age. It's not surprising why a lot of "Fifty Shades" fans are rooting for Alexis Bledel to get the part of Anastasia Steele.
Yet, with the latest updates on Alexis Bledel, fans aren't likely to get Alexis to officially play the part of Anastasia Steele. Representatives of Alexis claim that the actress is a bit busy with upcoming projects of which include the new FOX sitcom, "Friends & Family."
Bledel recently signed on to the show last March 7. The sitcom is expected to be a hit like "New Girl" starring Zooey Deschanel. Given the busy schedule, if Alexis does get cast as Ana, filming for the television series and the film adaptation would prove to be tiring and obviously time consuming.
Fans can only hope that if Alexis Bledel doesn't get the part, someone equally worthy does.
