Ellen DeGeneres has revealed her wife Portia de Rossi’s new gig. The U.S. daytime talk show host proudly announced that the 41-year-old Australian actress has landed a coveted role in the upcoming fourth season of “Scandal.”
So annoying when people brag on twitter & that's why I'm not tweeting that Portia just signed on to do a top secret arc on "Scandal". Oops.

And that’s not just empty bragging. Portia has indeed scored a role in the top-rating series, as confirmed by the show’s writers.
We are so excited to have Portia de Rossi joining us this coming season! — Scandal Writers (@ScandalWriters) July 23, 2014
It’s still unknown what her “top secret” storyline entails, though. What was revealed so far is that Portia will be appearing in a multiple-episode arc.
And certainly, Kerry Washington will still play the lead character Olivia Pope in the series.
A report on the Web site Cream BMP has worried fans, who think the satirical piece was true.
In the article, Washington is said to be leaving the show after refusing a pay decrease of her U$300,000 per episode wage. Meagan Good will be taking over her role.
“Where Meagan lacks in acting she makes up in sex appeal so we believe she’ll bring a larger male demographic to an already female driven show,” a director of the show was quoted as saying.
The so-called news was quickly spread on social media. However, the Cream BMP is a parody Web site, which makes up satirical news about current events.
It’s safe to say that Washington will continue to play the “fixer” Olivia Pope.
The fourth season of “Scandal” will start September 25 in the U.S.
