The game is definitely on as the new sports movie "Draft Day" starring Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner made its red carpet premiere in Los Angeles, California on April 7, 2014.
Sporting a stylish black jumpsuit, American actress and movie producer Jennifer Garner made a rocking chic strut on the red carpet behind the poster of the Ivan Reitman-directed sports movie "Draft Day."
The 41-year-old actress also made quite a show as she let loose of her tresses and flaunted a minimal amount of gold accessories that looked just right on her black jumpsuit. The former CIA officer on ABC's thriller drama series "Alias" is playing the role of Ali in the new sports movie.
Kevin Costner, on the other hand, arrived with his wife Christine Baumgartner. Costner is playing Sonny Weaver Jr. in the movie. Director Ivan Retman also arrived with his wife Genevieve, both looking elegant on the red carpet.
In an interview with Collider, Costner revealed some facts about him playing the role of Sonny Weaver Jr. At the end of the sports movie, the character of Costner was caught saying the phrase "what do you want?" and in the interview the actor explained what he meant by it since it is considered to be the same dialogue he used in the "Field of Dreams" movie in 1989 where Costner played as a corn farmer who hears voices.
"It's really a line that I think I'm probably speaking for every guy in the world, and maybe that's why some of these movies have worked sometimes," the 59-year-old actor explained.
Synopsis of "Draft Day" according to IMDb:
"At the NFL Draft, general manager Sonny Weaver has the opportunity to rebuild his team when he trades for the number one pick. He must decide what he's willing to sacrifice on a life-changing day for a new hundred young men with NFL dreams.
Aside from the main casts of "Draft Day," cast members Chadwick Boseman, Frank Langella, Terry Crews, Tom Welling, and Ellen Burstyn were also captured either posing or waving a hand on the red carpet. Former boxer Mike Tyson and actress Rosanna Arquette were also spotted posing on the red carpet.
"Draft Day" hits theatres on April 11, 2014 in the U.S.
