Aussie Dog Registers Loudest Bark with Same Volume as Rock Concert

An Australian dog in Adelaide broke the Guinness World Record for the loudest bark by registering 113.1 decibels. It was made by Charlie, a six-year-old dog at the Purina Bark in the Park event in Rymill Park, Adelaide.

Charlie's bark is 42 times louder than normal human conversation and is similar to the volume of a noisy rock concert.

The dog, whose record was officially recognised by Guinness last week, is owned by Belinda Freebain, who described the pooch as normally a quiet dog.

A Kiss concert like this 1976 gig, registers an average noise of 100 to 120 decibels.

He broke the old record of 108 decibels set in London in 2009 by Daz, a white German Shepherd.
