Bomer said to TV Line that he hopes that the fans will be satisfied with the ending. "I think we tried to give them [fans] something that would be in typical "White Collar" form ... and shock them, surprise them, and leave them on the edge of their seats. I hope we accomplish that," Bomer told TV Line.

In an earlier interview, Bomer revealed that Season 6 is likely to have an open ending. Also, he said that the storyline of the final season will revolve around a real world criminal gang, 'The Pink Panthers'. The final episode has incorporated Bomer's input.

The Season 5 of "White Collar" wrapped-up with the abduction of Neal by an unknown man. Peter and Mozzie are expected to find Neal's whereabouts in the opening episode and Neal gets back to work in episode 2. Before he was abducted, Neal learned from Peter that the top bosses at FBI have rejected his application to set him free, as he had become an asset to the White Collar division. Peter decided to not take-up the Washington DC. job.

The cast of "White Collar" recently wrapped-up the filming of Season 6. Bomer said to TV Line that filming the final episode was "cathartic," as the cast members were close to each other and enjoyed working, together. Bomer said that they "really liked each other" and it was "hard to say goodbye."

The final season consists of only six episodes and is expected to premiere sometime in winter 2015.

Meanwhile, Bomer is set to appear in an episode of FX's horror anthology series "American Horror Story" Season 4. The actor, however, has no clue about the role he is going to play in the series. He is set to begin shooting for "Magic Mike 2" this fall.
