Kate Middleton First Official Solo Trip: Details For Malta Tour Revealed [PHOTOS]

After taking a month-long vacation with Prince William and Prince George, Kate Middleton is scheduled to fly to Malta for her first official solo trip to represent Queen Elizabeth. Travelling to the island nation for a two-day stay, the Duchess will arrive in Malta on Sept. 20 where she is going to meet the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at the gorgeous San Anton Palace.

Representing the Queen on the 50th anniversary of Malta's independence from Britain, the Mediterranean island holds a special place at Elizabeth's heart as she spent a few years in the country as a young mother with Prince Philip. Staying at the same place where the Queen stayed back in 2007, Katherine has a jam-packed two-day tour from meeting high ranking officials to being the guest honour during the Independence Day Celebrations.

"Kate will have an official meeting with Coleiro Preca and then she will visit Prime Minister Muscat and his wife at his office in the Auberge de Castille," E! Online reports. "Later that day she'll watch a series of military-themed presentations, including a reenactment of the inspection of the fort and garrison by the Grand Bailiff of the Order of the Knights of St John, one of the most renowned of the Western Christian military orders during the Middle Ages."

Prince George's mother will also visit the national library where she will be shown a number of historical documents including the original citation where Britain awarded the George Cross to Malta in 1942. Also in the same day, she will be at the Upper Barrakka Gardens to witness the Independence Day Celebrations as a guest of honour.

On Sunday, she is scheduled to attend Independence Day services at St. John's Cathedral and view two of Caravaggio's famous works, "The Beheading of St. John the Baptist" and "Saint Jerome Writing" at the Cathedral Museum. She will also visit the government's Agenzija Zghazagh (Agency for Youth) and will wrap up her trip with a Grand Harbour boat ride, where she will enjoy the views of Vittoriosa and Valleta.

Traveling in four weeks, the Duchess of Cambridge will be bringing a string of photographers and media men with her as everyone would like to have an exclusive news. Kate Middleton's solo trip is going to be a spectacle that could boost the country's tourism for wherever she goes the media follows.

"Multiple briefings are scheduled, in London and in Malta. Media people have been instructed on what flights to take, what hotel to book, what credentials are required, when the buses leave, even what clothes to wear," according to Entertain This.
