This is especially true for the regular 4.7-inch build of the next iPhone, according to MacRumors, adding that the phablet version, boasting of a 5.5-inch screen, will not be out until the following few months. The earliest that the bigger device will arrive is December 2014 and the delay is due to complex manufacturing issues, said the same report.
As the availability of the upcoming iPhone refresh appear pretty much defined, Apple fans will naturally train their attention on the meatier details - the confirmed specs and features. And based on numerous reports so far, six things on everything about the iPhone 6 are fast shaping up.
There is no denying that Apple will deliver bigger versions of its flagship handset this 2014 and the latest evidence was picked by Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac. In a new set of photos that Gurman obtained from Gizmobic.com, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is shown side by side with the iPhone 5S.
What was showcased affirmed that the 2014 sequel is bigger, thinner and will deviate from the design that was seen last year. The iPhone 6 will have curved corners, Gurman reported.
It is likely too that sapphire glass cover will make it in time for Apple's rollout plans this year but the material will be restricted to the 5.5-inch edition and will be in limited supply. A report by DigiTimes suggests that GTA Advanced Technologies can only deliver 2 million plus, tops, of sapphire cover by the end of 2014.
The news also indicated that the jumbo-sized iPhone 6 will touchdown between late 2014 and early 2015.
100 million new iPhones
While the large-screen version may not be in abundance, getting hold of the smaller variant will not be a problem as a separate DigiTimes report claim that peripheral chip suppliers in Asia are currently preparing orders that will lead to the assembly of around 100 million new iPhone units in the second half of 2014.
The information is in line with earlier projections from analysts that as many as 120 million iPhones will be manufactured during the same period though it should be noted that part of the shipments include the iPhone 5S and 5C that reportedly Apple will repackage as its budget devices.
128GB RAM from Samsung
G4Games has reported last week that buyers can expect an iPhone 6 variant with up to 128GB of internal memory, thanks to a leaked schematic of the device.
This week, DigiTimes said in a report that Apple will source a portion of its mobile RAM requirements from Samsung, pointing to the likelihood that some of the iPhone 6 to hit the market will have crucial components made by the Galaxy maker.
Better iPhone charging experience
Apple has previously promised that re-charging the iPhone and iPad will significantly improve and this will become a reality via the iPhone 6 as the device will likely come with a more durable Lightning cable that is coupled with a reversible USB cable, 9to5Mac reported.
Retina display resolution
According to MacRumors, the two iPhone 6 models will beam out in Retina screen resolutions of 1334 x 750 for the 4.7-inch make and 2208 x 1242 for the 5.5-inch build. Apple watcher John Gruber offered the display specifications and supported his arguments by saying they are optimised with known iOS 8 codes, the report added.
That the iPhone 6 will debut simultaneously in key markets around the world is virtually confirmed as China Telecom, according to ZDNet, reported in an advert that the device will reach the Chinese shores in unlocked format.
The claim seems to indicate that U.S. and Chinese consumers will get to witness the iPhone 6 unpacking at the same time and perhaps even the release date that as mentioned above could happen on September 19.
