The high-end smartphones from Sony feature the much-required water proof exteriors. This includes the Xperia line of handsets. However, Sony is introducing the water-proof exterior to budget-friendly Xperia handsets starting with the Xperia M2 Aqua. Furthermore, the new Sony Xperia M2 Aqua will also be dust-resistant. Also, we now have information on the release date and the official price of the Nokia Lumia 530 in the UK.

Sony Xperia M2 Aqua

The upcoming Xperia M2 Aqua handset is IP68 certified. Hence it is water and dust resistant. Specifically, the device can endure water submersion above 1m depth for an unlimited period of time, according to GSM Arena.

Other salient features include a good 2,300 mAh battery unit, 8MP primary camera, 8 GB of internal storage and a microSD slot for expansion. The handset will support 4G LTE and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat. Furthermore, the Xperia M2 Aqua will be released in autumn specific to Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific markets.

Nokia Lumia 530

The Nokia Lumia 530 launch date pertaining to the UK is set for Sept. 4. The device will be offered by Vodafone, O2, Three, EE, Phones 4u, and Carphone Warehouse to name a few. The smartphone can be purchased for £60 that roughly translates to US$99 and AU$107. Also, the device will come in bright orange, bright green and dark grey hues at this point, according to GSM Arena.

When it comes to key specifications, the Lumia 530 features a 4.0-inch display with 480 x 854 resolution, 5MP primary camera unit, quad-core (Snapdragon 200) processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 512 MB of RAM, Windows Phone 8.1 and 4 GB of expandable storage.
