2014 MTV Video Music Awards: Everything To Know [PHOTOS]

To be held at The Forum in Inglewood, California, the 31st annual MTV Video Music Awards is just around the corner and is set to kick off on Aug. 24, 2014. Set to perform on her own without rapper husband Jay Z, Beyonce who recently wrapped her "On the Run" tour in San Francisco, is reportedly going to address her divorce rumours during the red carpet event.


Leading the nominees are Queen Bey and Australian rapper Iggy Azalea with eight nominations each, followed by American rapper Eminem with seven nods including Best Collaboration with Rihanna in "The Monsters" and Best Visual Effect in "Rap God." The event's pre-show performances includes Charli XCX who will be performing his hit song "Boom Clap" and Fifth Harmony who is to perform "Boss."


"I cannot wait to perform during the VMAs pre-show," said Charli. "And it's so exciting to have a nomination not only for 'Boom Clap' but for other things with 'Fancy.' It's a girl power anthem, and the video is next-level."


The 2014 MTV VMA's main show performers includes Ariana Grande and Zedd for "Break Free," Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora for "Black Widow," Maroon 5 for "Maps and Nicki Minaj for "Anaconda." Other guest performers are Taylor Swift, "The Voice" coach Usher, Beyonce and 5 Seconds of Summer.


"Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale is set to host MTV Video Music Awards pre-show together with MTV's Sway and Christina Garibaldi. The three hosts will cover the star-studded red carpet event at 8:00 P.M ET, an hour before the VMA's will start at 9:00 P.M. ET/PT.


"Hosting this year's MTV VMA Pre-Show is the topper to a pretty great year for me after releasing my first album," revealed the PLL star in an interview with MTV. "I'm looking forward to meeting and talking to some of my favorite artists. It's going to be an amazing night!"


Other artists with multiple nominations include the controversial rapper Jay Z, New Zealand singer Lorde, Miley Cyrus, Zedd, Ariana Grande, Sam Smith, Jason Derulo, Hayley Williams, Pharrell Willaims, Avicii and Pitbull.
