No matter how tough Katy Perry seems in general, she looked vulnerable while getting her nose pierced by a professional. Perry posted a video where she is seen to be handled by a professional to get the right side of her nose pierced. The video, posted on Aug 15, has now been liked by more than 290,000 people on Instagram.
Singer Katy Perry performs at a concert commemorating the Special Olympics at the White House in Washington, July 31, 2014.
Some may argue that posting a video where she looked uncomfortable may be the best example of a tough character. The 29-year-old singer admitted that it was the first time she was getting her nose pierced by a professional. She wrote in the video description that she did the earlier nose-piercing on her own. "Last time I did this I was on my own with a safety pin & cube of ice @ 13. This time I thought it was best I left it to the pro's. Sorry mom (again)," she wrote.
The professional with blue gloves, who did it for Perry is seen in the video even though the face is not shown. The person nonchalantly pushes the long needle through Perry's nose. Perry does not react immediately as she looks at the camera and says, "Ow!" The guy is quick to apologise for what he has done to the "Teenage Dream" pop star. "I know. I'm sorry." He said, "Don't say anything."
Perry, who endorses Adidas, seems to be wearing a black sports bra in the video. The video clip is pretty short as it is only 15 seconds in duration. It appears to have been recorded in a mobile phone by someone who accompanied Perry during the piercing.
Perry is doing the Prismatic World Tour at the moment. She was scheduled to perform in St. Louis on Sunday. Later on, she is going to visit some of the major places in the mid-West. She earlier expressed her joy for doing the tour. She posted on Twitter on Aug 14 that she loved her diverse audience. "8 years old to 80 years old! #blessed #ThePrismaticWorldTour," she wrote.
