How to Recover/Reset/Restore Nokia Lumia 930's Software

Nokia Lumia 930 is the most impressive handset of Nokia at the present. It has 2.2 GHz Quad-core processor and Microsot Windows Phone 8.1. Despite this, the following problems may still occur: 1) the phone is not responding; 2)the phone appears to be stuck; 3)the phone is not starting; or, 4) software related or software update problems. If you experience any of these problems, you may recover and reset your phone with Nokia Software Recovery Phone.

In order to start the recovery and reset, make sure that you have the following for your PC: Microsoft Windows 7 or newer version, USB cable to connect your phone to the computer, and at least 4 GB free storage space. Also, it is advisable that your phone is fully charged. Below are the steps from nokia.com for the reset or recovery.

First, download and install Nokia Software Recovery Tool to your computer. (Click Nokia Software Recovery Tool to start download.) Remember that it is important to create a back up for your phone's content before starting the installation. Using the Nokia Software Recovery Tool erases all personal content of your phone.

Keep in mind that you cannot use your phone during the installation so do the update at the most convenient time for you. The time that will be spent in the recovery also depends on your Internet connection.

Second, Start Nokia Software Recovery Tool. After that, connect your phone to your computer with a compatible USB cable. If a prompt appears, select the correct USB mode on your phone: Nokia Suite or Modem.

Third, just follow the instruction shown on the tool. After the installation, your phone will be restored back to the factory settings and it will have the latest version of its software.
