"The Vampire Diaries" fans are definitely curious as to who the big bad villain will be in the sixth season that follows or even surpasses the evil schemes of Dr. Wes Maxfield (Rick Cosnett) and Traveller leader Markos (Raffi Barsoumian) in TVD Season 5. Executive producer Julie Plec did not reveal who the Mystic Falls gang should watch out for in the new season but teased some details about the new villain.

According to an exclusive E!Online TV Scoop report, Julie Plec teased that the CW TV series will be scaling back when it comes to the new villain instead of topping those that appeared in the past five seasons. "We try to scale back and see if we can keep it really personal and rooted in character," Plec explained.

Plec further added that the storyline on the big bad villain in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 is going to be a long and slow-burn mythology. The executive producer teased that the new mythology will have a huge and deep impact on the TVD characters. "It's smart and it's interesting and it's small, which I like. We try to scale back and see if we can keep it really personal and rooted in character," Plec teased.

With the new details on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 villain, a Wet Paint report speculates new character Tripp (Colin Ferguson) could be the new season's big bad villain. However, the report also pointed out that Tripp could be a short-term obstacle to the Mystic Falls gangs especially if the man becomes a father figure to Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig).

When E!Online asked Julie Plec for new details on the possible Damon-Elena or "Delena" reunion, the executive producer remained tight-lipped. In a previous report, what Julie Plec teased is the Damon-Bonnie pairing that will happen in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 since the two TVD characters bonded in the fifth season's finale when the Other Side collapsed.

"To me, in spite of what [Bonnie and Damon] had in the books, that kind of relationship would only be born out of chemistry, and an on-screen connection," Plec stated in an Epoch Times report. The executive producer added that there could be instant chemistry between Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) comparable to the Klaus-Caroline or "Klaroline" pairing.

Plec declared that the TVD team wanted to repair Damon and Bonnie's relationship from the book and give the two characters a chance to become friends. Julie Plec teased that the "Bamon" relationship will start from there and it may never develop into something else but no one really knows.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 is scheduled to premiere on Thursday night, Oct. 2, at 8/7c on the CW Network.
