"Guardians of the Galaxy" 2 is slated to be released on July 28, 2017. Fans of the franchise can expect to know more about Peter Quill's father and about Drax. Two other characters that fans can expect to see are Yondu and Nebula.

Yondu and Nebula are both blue-skinned aliens seen in the first movie. According to a report by Filmdivider, the director James Gunn considers them both to be important characters and confirmed that the fans will get to see more of the characters in the future.

Movie buffs who have seen the movie "Guardians of the Galaxy" will remember seeing Nebula working with Ronan to acquire the infinity stone that Thanos was looking for. Towards the end of the movie, she met Gamora in battle.

Yondu is the leader of the space bandit group called as the Ravagers. His personal weapon also makes him a formidable enemy. Peter Quill was seen tricking Yondu into helping him and later betraying him.

Fans may see Yondu chasing Peter Quill, also known as Star Lord, in "Guardians of the Galaxy" 2. Nebula has to take her revenge on Gamora for betraying Ronan, and Thanos will not be happy about losing the infinity stone.

One of the notable features in the movie has been the music. Peter Quill is often seen listening to his songs on an old-fashioned walkman and occasionally singing, too. The director reportedly said that the songs for the upcoming movie have not all been worked out.

The other two major characters in the movie are Groot, who looks like a walking tree, and Rocket, a talking raccoon with a sense of humour. Rocket is the main brains of the group and can build hi-tech gadgets, while Groot is the muscle.

The cast who have played the roles of the superheroes in "Guardians of the Galaxy" are Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, Dave Bautista as Drax, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket. The roles of Nebula and Yondu were played by Karen Gillian and Michael Rooker respectively.
