Before the upcoming Rogers Cup in Toronto, where Novak Djokovic is a three time champion, the world no. 1 gave time to support his friend Niall Horan, member of the band One Direction as the group performed in Toronto last Friday.

Horan returned the favour by visiting his Serbian friend who is preparing for the Rogers Cup. Horan posted a photo with Djokovic in the Rexall Centre locker room and gave a message to his 6.6 million followers.

"I was terrible! But was an amazing experience to play with the No. 1 tennis player in the world! Just incredible!" Horan said on his Instagram post, "Thank you to all of you guys, coz if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be able to do amazing stuff like that."

In 2013, 1D member Horan met Djokovic at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. Horan patiently waited for the tennis superstar outside his locker room at The O2 in London on that event after watching the Serbian beat Rafael Nadal 6-3, 6-4 to win the ATP World Tour season finale for the third time.

Meanwhile, the world no. 1 is getting back to the tennis courts after few good weeks off. The Serbian recently got married to his girlfriend and won his second Wimbledon title and 7th Grand Slam.

Things really are getting good for the tennis superstar as he also recently secured back the world no. 1 ranking from Rafael Nadal. Now, the gap between them is expected to even widen as the Spaniard would not be playing in Toronto and Cincinnati anymore due to a wrist injury from practice, which inhibits him from defending his title.
