Following the freak injury that almost ended Anderson Silva's career in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the Brazilian mixed martial artist has been cleared by his doctors to fight. Silva will headline the UFC event against Nick Diaz in January 2015 and he is reportedly confident that his once injured leg will be at its 100 percent strength on the day of the fight.

According to Silva, his leg is almost back to normal after the injury. In his last fight with Chris Weidman in UFC 168, Silva's leg broke like a rope pulling apart. People feared that his leg was seriously injured and it may no longer function as normal. However, Silva's doctors have certainly helped his broken bone healed properly. Silva has said that he has been doing physical therapy treatment to speed the healing and by the time of his clash against Diaz, he is confident that his leg will be ready.

"I've been doing a lot of physical therapy, and right now, it's at 95 percent and improving," said Silva via Yahoo Sports.

"On the day of the fight, it's going to be 100 percent," Silva added.

However, Silva also admits that he isn't really "kicking" the way he kicks before he suffered the injury. He said he will have to wait until the day of the fight "to kick hard."

Silva has no objections that his comeback fight in the UFC isn't a title fight. The former UFC middleweight champion said that a title fight isn't really his 'priority" at the moment. "At this point, I want to feel my legs walking and my movement."

"My main priority is to see how I perform."

Silva is excited for his comeback and he thinks that the fight against Diaz will be a treat for all UFC fans.

Meanwhile, Silva has also expressed his thoughts on National Basketball Association (NBA) player Paul George's injury. He posted an encouraging message on social media.

George has reportedly writhed a leg injury in a U.S. exhibition game. George has already underwent surgery and expected sit out the entire 2014-2015 NBA season for his rehabilitation and recovery.
