Moto G Android 4.4.4 KitKat Guide: When to Hit Your Region

Moto G users in India already received the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update a month ago with US users wondering when the update will reach them. Fortunately, new reports say that the update has also reached Spain. Given the Motorola's speed recently in releasing Android updates for its devices, it should be matter of time before other users in other regions can enjoy the update.

Motorola has already issued the changelog for the Android 4.4.4 update. According to the company, people can expect the following changes on their devices: 

-security fixes

-framework fixes

-stability

-power profile

-Open SSL update

-accessible pause video recording function

-updated Phone dialer

-new Motorola alert application 

It is best for users to make sure their devices have at least 50% battery to avoid power interruptions and problems. For users who have already received the update notification, they only need to tap on the message. Choose Download. Wait for the download to finish then choose "Install Now." Wait for the installation to finish until the phone restarts. The phone should be updated with 210.12.40. 

For those who have not received the notification, they can check manually. To do this, go to the Settings section. Tap on "About Phone" then choose "System updates." Proceed with "Download" and wait for the file to save completely. Tap "Install" after. Wait for the installation to finish and for the phone to restart. The device should now be running with 210.12.40. 

People need to wait for confirmation from their carriers that the update is already available. The Moto G was announced back in November 2013. It offers the following features: 

-IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors

-720 x 1280 pixels, 4.5 inches (~326 ppi pixel density)

-5 MP, 2592 х 1944 pixels, autofocus, LED flash, check quality

-Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400

-Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7

-Adreno 305
