What happens when an NFL linebacker gets crossed by a bruising former NBA athlete? Mayhem ensues.
Local authorities report that two professional athletes have been arrested by the Miami Beach Police. The instigators were identified as Jo-Lonn Dunbar of the St. Louis Rams in the NFL and Donta Greene formerly of the Sacramento Kings in the NBA.
Reports from ESPN.com say that the said athletes were arrested after a fight outside the Dream Nightclub in South Beach. Miami Beach Detective Viva Thayer also conveyed that the said athletes are to face battery and disorderly conduct charges.
Dunbar, the Rams' linebackers is supposedly enjoying the few days of vacation leading up to the start of training camp with his team while free agent 6-foot-11 Greene last played in an NBA match in 2012. Dunbar's arrest and forthcoming legal issue could pave the way for reserve Ray-Ray Armstrong for the Rams which has a strong defensive line which may cushion of the possible loss of Dunbar.
A six year veteran, Dunbar was also involved in an another scandal in the 2013-2014 when he was suspended four games for violating the National Football League's performance enhancing drug policy. He spent four years with the New Orleans Saints before jumping ship to the Rams.
The local authorities have not released any other details pertaining to the incident only that the two athletes were booked on the charges and no other arrests were made pertaining to the incident.
