New faces will be seen in Mystic Falls when the CW TV series "The Vampire Diaries" returns with the brand new Season 6. The actors and actresses that were cast as guest stars could either be an ally, enemy or a love interest that Stefan (Paul Wesley), Elena (Nina Dobrev), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and the rest of the TVD gang will deal with in the show.

According to the Zap2it report, there are four more celebrity guest stars added to the previously reported casting news on Colin Ferguson, Emily Chang and Gabrielle Walsh, who will portray Sarah. The Web site's previous casting report revealed that actor Colin Ferguson will be portraying Tripp, the head of a community militia that will give Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) problems because he is willing to do anything to protect Mystic Falls.

Another actress added to the cast list is Emily Chang who will portray character named Ivy. She is described to be the typical girl next door but with an unexpected wild side. On Thursday, July 17, the addition to the celebrity guest stars for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 has been revealed.

In the TV Guide report, it is teased that "The Carrie Diaries" actor Chris Wood joins the TVD cast as the recurring character named Kai. The new character is described as a charming, playful and obsessive newcomer with a blend of teenage angst.

The Wrap reports actor Marco James bagged the recurring role of Liam in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. Liam, who comes from a family of doctors, will be introduced in the premiere episode as a "cocky yet good-natured" Whitmore College med student.

According to the TV Line spoiler report, actor Jayson Warner Smith will be making an appearance in at least two Season 6 episodes as the owner of a sophisticated hot rod shop. Lastly, the Entertainment Weekly report teased that actress Jodi Lyn O'Keefe has been cast as another doctor in Mystic Falls.

TVD fans can recall that medical experts became a part of the show like Meredith Fell (Torrey DeVitto) and Wes Maxfield (Rick Cosnett). "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 will have the "Hit the Floor" actress portraying a "tough and accomplished doctor at the university hospital."

Furthermore, the new doctor in town requires excellence from her students after learning from the hard way that there is no room for any kind of error in her profession.
