The rugby league will have to go through the arduous process of alcohol scandal as another player is involved in a scandal.

Daily Mail reports that winger Will Chambers is the face of major sports dailies as he is allegedly involved in a scuffle at a Brisbane bar in the hourly hours of Wednesday morning. The rookie apparently pushed a patron during the altercation and was the instigator of the said commotion.

Chambers made his Origin debut fifteen hours before the incident and went to the local bar with several teammates for a late night bonding spree. The Nine Network reported that Chambers was accompanied by fellow players and teammates Billy Slater, Aidan Guerra, Ben Teo and Darius Boyd at the Edward Street nightspot.

Police and Queensland Rugby league have confirmed that they are already looking into the matter and will launch an official investigation. The Queensland Rugby League issued a statement on Wednesday saying that the league was already aware of the incident.

Tristan Furniss, one of the locals who were allegedly were assaulted by Chambers made a formal complaint against the player and was questioned by the authorities at length Wednesday.  The complainant told the Nine Network that he was pushed in the back by Chambers after snatching a friend's hat back from the Melbourne Storm player.

"I didn't know it was coming," he said. "It was almost cowardly. I grabbed the hat and I was walking back to our table, which was the next table, and the next thing I know my back is thumping on the ground and I'm on the ground and all this stuff is going on top of me."

No punches were reportedly thrown during scuffle and the said commotion was diffused immediately as cooler heads prevailed.

The incident is the latest scandal to hit the rugby league as it is just days removed from another controversy - Cronulla star Todd Carney was let go for a lewd photograph taken at a urinal in a Sydney bar.
