X2 is a new Android smartphone from Nokia that runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It is cheap and fast but can it beat Motorola's flagship Moto X smartphone? Know which one has better performance, longer battery life, impressive Android user experience and reasonable price tag.

Performance Showdown

In terms of specs, Moto X beats Nokia X2's 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 with 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro. Moreover, Moto X sports a 1 GB higher RAM than Nokia X2 that makes it more capable of handling several apps at once or running more background services.

However, Nokia installed an exclusive feature called Fastlane which allows quick and easy switching between apps plus swipe away gesture from the home screen. Users must remember to check the speed and smoothness between the two on switching applications back and forth.

Longer Battery Life

By default, Moto X wins with 2200 mAh battery pack than the 1800 mAh battery unit on Nokia X2. But do not forget that applications and software optimisation play a great deal on battery consumption.

Android 4.4 KitKat delivers low-power consuming audio playback while Android 4.3 Jelly Bean sports less features that may lower battery consumption. Additionally, Moto X boasts 4.7 inches of display with 720p resolution that can consume power but not as high compared to LCD, thanks to AMOLED technology. Nokia X2 uses IPS LCD which conserves power as well while delivering visuals without distortion caused by viewing angles.

User Experience

Unfortunately, Nokia X2 does not have the pure Android experience since Google Play is not installed. Accessing Android apps would be under Nokia's management but users can go beyond the horizon and install desired apps by "sideloading."

Moto X offer near-vanilla user interface, Google Play Services and Motorola exclusives such as voice controls and assistance for every day needs. For expanded features on Moto X and Nokia X2, check the table below:
