The company BlackBerry has not been in news for quite some time now. However, recently leaked information states that a new tablet from Blackberry is in the offing, which has an embedded physical keyboard (QWERTY) on it. BlackBerry Ltd posted a narrower-than-expected loss as the troubled smartphone maker's turnaround efforts started to pay off, raising hopes Chen can deliver on a pledge to return the company to steady profits.

BlackBerry Passport features a 4.5 inches LCD display with a solid 1,440 × 1,440 pixels screen resolution and 453 ppi pixel density. The tablet will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with a whopping 3 GB of RAM. The Passport is expected to house 13 MP primary camera, and a 2 MP secondary camera, according to Phone Arena.

In addition, there is a powerful, non-removable 3450 mAh battery unit accompanied by 32 GB of internal storage. The device will feature a 3-row "touch-enabled keyboard," and it supports nano-sim. Moreover, the BlackBerry Passport runs on BlackBerry Q10 OS and it weighs around 6 ounces. The tablet also supports microSD card for memory expansion up to 64 GB. In addition, the tablet supports the standard Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, LTE, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP/LE, microUSB and NFC.

According to MobileSyrup, Michael Clewley, Director of Software Product Management at BlackBerry, wrote an article on the company blog related to the upcoming Passport. Apparently, the link was removed for some unspecified reasons.

But the same tech Web site has a cached copy of the blog where Clewley said, "The Passport integrates the excellent tactile feel and performance specific to keyboards along with capacitive touch technology found on modern phone and tablet touchscreens." "You'll be able to navigate web pages, apps and e-mails by lightly brushing your fingers over the keys. It's a minimalist design that eliminates dedicated arrow keys while maximizing the already-awesome amount of screen real estate," Clewley added.

With terrific specifications, BlackBerry Passport with QWERTY keyboard is worth looking up to the launch date.
