The Walking Dead Wins Best Cable Television Series Award at 2014 Saturn Awards Along with Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride

It looks like "The Walking Dead" is gearing up for 2014 Emmy Awards. Recently, the AMC show bagged the Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series Award. Also, Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) won Best Performance by a Younger Actor in a Television Series and Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier) took home the Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series Award. Apart from these wins, Greg Nicotero was honoured with The George Pal Memorial Award.

David Morrissey was also nominated as Best Guest Star in a Television Series, but he lost to "Breaking Bad" star Robert Forster.

2014 Saturn Awards, by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films, was held in Burbank, CA on June 26.
