Sony's Project Morpheus is taking more leaps and bounds as the development continues. While Sony's virtual reality device requires the PS4 to function, the latest development seems to be pointing to the possibility of using the Project Morpheus alongside other technologies beyond the PS4.

The PS4 has actually been synonymous to the Project Morpheus in the sense that, unlike the Oculus Rift, which seems to be open for a variety of platforms, the Project Morpheus may be the exclusive VR headset for the PS4.

But GameRanx reports that Sony may be planning to extend the courtesy to other devices, as hinted by Sony Worldwide boss Shuhei Yoshida.

"We started to focus on making games for Project Morpheus because it requires PS4 to use it. But in future, Project Morpheus can expand into lots of different types of experiences," said Yoshida in an interview as quoted by GameRanx.

"When you talk about VR, the possibilities are infinite. We are so excited about working on Project Morpheus because these take you sitting down and watching a game on screen to you going into the game. It's a huge change and you don't even have to play games anymore. You can just go to the places that we could never go before."

Already, the Project Morpheus has a done a demo with Mars and NASA, a very broad stroke away from gaming for the VR headset project. Check out the video below to see how the Project Morpheus has been received so far.

PlayStation Now Beta: 6 New Games, Same Rent Price Tags

After the controversy and bashing that the PlayStation Now Beta received after the rental prices were leaked, six new games have been spotted for the service.

DualShockers got its hands on the list of additional games, which include the following:

- Ben 10 Omniverse 2

- Catherine

- Darksiders

- Dead Rising 2: Off the Record

- Resident Evil Code: Veronica X

- Saints Row 2

While some of the games do have the standard "4 hours, $5" rental prices, some of the newer games give "4 hours for $3." These include "Dead Rising 2: Off the Record," "Saints Row 2," "Resident Evil Code: Veronica X," "Catherine" and "Darksiders."

The existing games have not yet seen any changes in prices, though it may be that Sony is just waiting for the official launch of PS Now to reveal a new lineup of prices.
