Display and Design

The BlackBerry Z30 comes with a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen, rendering 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The iPhone 5S comes with a 4-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, rendering 640 x 1136 pixels resolution.

The iPhone 5S has a slight edge in this category with 326 ppi pixel display density compared to the 294 ppi pixel density on the BlackBerry Z30.

The BlackBerry Z30 comes with 140.7 x 72 x 9.4 mm dimensions and weighs 170 grams. The iPhone 5S comes with 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm dimensions and weighs 112 grams.

Hardware and Operating System

The BlackBerry Z30 is equipped with a 1.7 GHz dual core krait processor and Qualcomm MSM8960T Pro Snapdragon chipset. It comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded by up to 64 GB using a Micro SD card.

The iPhone 5S is equipped with a 1.3 GHz dual core cyclone processor and Apple A7 chipset. It comes in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB internal memory variants and no Micro SD slot for additional memory.

The BlackBerry Z30 runs on the BlackBerry 10.2 operating system and has 2 GB of RAM. The iPhone 5S runs on the iOS 7 operating system and has 1 GB of RAM. The IPhone 5S has a slight edge in terms of the processor but the BlackBerry Z30 is equipped with a better RAM.

Camera

The BlackBerry Z30 sports an 8 MP primary camera with autofocus and LED flash. The secondary camera on the device is 2 MP. The iPhone 5S sports an 8 MP primary camera with autofocus and dual LED flash. The secondary camera on the device is 1.2 MP.

Battery

The BlackBerry Z30 comes with a Li-Ion 2880 mAh battery, which allows for a talk time of about 18 hours on 3G. The iPhone 5S comes with a non-removable Li-Po 1560 mAh battery, which allows for a talk time of about 10 hours on 3G.

Price in Australia

The BlackBerry Z30 4G LTE variant is priced at around AU $489.95. The iPhone 5S 16 GB variant is priced at around AU $799.95, the 32 GB variant is priced at around AU $939.95 and the 64 GB variant is priced at around AU $999.95 in Australia.
