'Grey's Anatomy' Season 11 Update, Plot Details: MerDer's Future
Just week after "Grey's Anatomy" Season 10 and Sandra Oh finale, show's writers got back to work. Show's creator Shonda Rhimes has always managed to keep her fans updated.
In one of her May Twitter posts she told million of her fans that she is back in action despite her health issues.
She wrote on Twitter:
I've had a great day in #GreysAnatomy writers room today! Plus I got antibiotics for my sinus infection so I'm on the mend! Yay medicine!

This means it won't be long before there will be more information on eleventh installment of the show.
Season 10 finale saw a major cliffhanger. While Cristina and Shane's storyline was given closure, new ones were opened. Unresolved issues between Meredith and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) have left fans wondering what's next for the beloved couple.
Many speculate that next season may see long-time couple struggling to strike a balance between their personal and professional lives. Confirming the rumours, TV Line dished out some spoilers from "Grey's Anatomy" Season 11.
The Web site confirms that Meredith and Derek are not going anywhere for at least two more seasons. It also confirms that "a Mer-Der break-up also seems unlikely."
The publication also notes that this could be "one of the more challenging seasons" for Mer-Der. This will only add to the agony of Cristina's exit for Meredith.
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 11 is going to center on Meredith and Derek's relationship after her confession of not wanting to join her husband in Washington D.C. Cristina Yang, Shane (Gaius Charles) and Leah (Tessa Ferrer) have all left the series, new residents/characters could fill in their space.
Fans also have another bombshell to watch out for. Ellis Grey's daughter is going to take centerstage. Dr. Maggie Pierce may be Cristina's choice for Grey Sloan Memorial hospital's cardiothoracics head, but she is also Meredith's half sister and presumably Dr. Webber's daughter.
