Rachel McAdams & Jake Gyllenhaal Sparked Dating Rumours, Stars Filming Kurt Sutter’s ‘Southpaw’

Set to start filming Kurt Sutter's ("Sons of Anarchy") boxing movie "Southpaw," Rachel McAdams and Jake Gyllenhaal ignited dating rumours when the two were spotted having a dinner date at Pittsburgh's popular eatery, Meat and Potatoes, on Tuesday. The two Hollywood stars took some time off to get to know each other before they begin shooting in Pennsylvania as they play the two lead roles in the upcoming boxing film.

The 35-year-old actress looked chic in a khaki jacket as the two shared a cozy meal, while Jake was photographed wearing a white shirt which had the name of the film writer across the back. The pair's bonding was captured by Instagram user, Micheal Duganier, as he captioned the shot: "Why is my girlfriend Rachel McAdams eating dinner with Jake Gyllenhaal."

The 33-year-old actor reunites with his "Love and other Drugs" director Antoine Fuqua as he scheduled to direct the movie set in the world of boxing. According to Deadline, Gyllenhaal will play "as a welterweight champion who rises in his profession while his personal life falls apart." To regain the respect and love of his daughter, the former boxing champion have to train again and start taking charge of his life as prepare for his next big fight.

Sporting a new look, Jake was seen in a messy beard for his role as Scott Fischer in the Baltasar Kormákur directed flick "Everest." Made in 3D-format, the movie is based on an actual tragedy back in 1996 when a group of climbers died on Mount Everest. The movie stars Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, Sam Worthington and John Hawkes.

Southpaw, meaning left-handed, will follow the struggles of a former welterweight champion as he tries to rise to fame once again with the help of a former pro fighter, role is yet to be cast, who left his career after a ring accident that lead him to lose an eye. Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker is in talks to play the boxing mentor and trainer who tries to guide Jake's character back to the ring, based on report posted on Daily Mail.
