Should the entertainment world expect a reformed 20-year-old Justin Bieber after the Canadian pop star's recent controversies?

The New York Post reports that Bieber, who was recently involved in a racist comment video scandal and had bouts with other bad behaviour such as being kicked out of a brothel and arrested for drugs, has turned to God.

Bieber attended a Bible study for one week, according to Pastor Car Lentz, reported TMZ, and then had a bathtub baptism at a Manhattan church also last week.

Even as early as February, Bieber was said to be looking for a New York City church with a private pool to hold the Christian rite and opted for the Hillsong Church which offered privacy.

"Justin is serious about his Christian faith, and after recent events, he needed to take a post," The New York Times quoted a source.

Actually, Bieber had attended a service in Lent'z church in September and even tweeted then: "Love to my guy @carllentzNYC for the amazing sermon at church this morning. Love you man. I broke down today. Thank u ;).

That tweet was posted on Sept 9, 2013 and was retweeted 52,426 times and favourited 46,479 then.
