The Android 4.4.3 has been making headlines for quite some time now. However, despite predictions saying that it should roll out this May, the OS update has not made an appearance yet. Nonetheless, the market remains hopeful as Moto E's teaser video and Samsung's developer website provided hints about the upcoming OS. What can people expect?

Nexus devices like the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 7 2 and Nexus 10 are in line to receive the update first followed by Google Play Edition devices. Despite reports of the bug-fixing nature of the update, there have not been any confirmations from Google about the official release. Nonetheless, two recent sightings provide additional support that update is just around the corner.

Google's former child company has released teaser video. According to the 40-second footage (via Modern Readers), Moto E will be running with Android 4.4.3. The video mentioned Android 4.4.3 in passing. Although it was only a slight hint, it should give users assurance that Google has indeed been working o its roll out.

Modern Readers also pointed out that the teaser video considers the Android 4.4.3 update as a "current" edition of the Android 4.4 KitKat. Tispter and developer @LlabTooFeR predicted that the release should be around May. Samsung's developer site (via SamMobile) also cited the Android 4.4.3 update. The website offered information on a fix addressing ConsumerIrManager issues for devices that run on older firmware than Android 4.4.3. Information remains scarce but a teaser video and developer site citing the update should support the release of the firmware soon.

Google will also be holding its I/O Developer Conference this June. Analysts believe that if the company will not roll out the update this month, it may introduce the 4.3 version during the event alongside Android 4.5 or 5.0. There has been information circulating that Google has been preparing for the release of a new Android mobile operating system dubbed "Lollipop."
