After dying her hair green, Katy Perry is up for another eccentric act during one of her concert performances. Performing in front of a huge audience on May 7 in Northern Ireland, the "Roar" singer gave her fans a treat by showing a video montage of herself sticking a finger in her mouth, causing her to spit blue and green paint, soiling the white room featured in the video.
The video montage uncannily resembles Lady Gaga's stunt during her concerts. It can be remembered that Lady Gaga employed the help of performance artist Millie Brown by making her vomit on the "Applause" singer (on purpose). Lady Gaga performed at the SXSW festival in Austin at that time. And just like her other acts, Lady Gaga's vomit inducing act was not spared from critics; Demi Lovato aired out her concern over the performance art claiming that the "G.U.Y." singer glamorized eating disorders.
"Sad... As if we didn't have enough people glamorizing eating disorders already. Bottom line, it's not 'cool' or 'artsy' at all...Would you let someone bring a needle and shoot up on you? Addiction is addiction," Lovato famously wrote in her Twitter account.
Is Katy Perry trying purposely to imitate Lady Gaga?
It seems that Katy Perry's uncanny imitation of Lady Gaga's acts have been brought to the "Applause" singers attention. Lady Gaga allegedly dissed Katy Perry during her Twitter Question & Answer with Mother Monster portion by saying:
"It looks like green hair and mechanical horses are the thing now [eyeballs]."
While it is not sure the tweet was a direct jab to Katy Perry, the likelihood is high since Katy Perry had just recently sported wearing a green wig and even rode on a mechanical stud during her kick start performance for her Prismatic tour on Wednesday.
Lady Gaga, who has originally donned the green wig and ridden the mechanical horse, previously addressed fans' comparison to her with Katy Perry by saying: "I don't know what the f**k I have to do with Katy Perry. My music is so completely different and I couldn't be more different."
