A few photos of LG G3 have surfaced again ahead of its unveiling event on 27 May, giving a clearer picture of how the new flagship smartphone will look like when it is released to the market. Several reports also have indicated that the device will have some features superior to the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S5.

LG G3 is seen in gold color in the exclusive photos obtained by GSM Arena. An insider reportedly told the website that the main highlight of the device will be its camera and its features.

The South Korean consumer electronics giant's flagship smartphone will give Samsung's new smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S5 a run for its money, as it is expected to come with some superior features.

Samsung Galaxy S5 came as a disappointment when it was unveiled, as it didn't have some key speculated features, but LG G3 is expected to have a few of them.

LG G3 will sport a 5.5-inch QHD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels (534ppi), which is superior to Samsung Galaxy S5's 5.1-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 1080 x 1920 pixels (432 ppi). The flagship smartphone is also expected to be powered by Snapdragon 805 processor and have 3GB RAM, as compared to Galaxy S5's Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 series quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. LG G3 may also come with a metal back cover unlike Samsung smartphone's plastic case.

There is conflicting report on the expected processor for LG G3 suggesting an in-house built 64-bit architecture-based Octa-core processor Odin, contradicting latest report of a Snapdragon 805 processor.

The flagship smartphone from South Korean electronics may come with a 16.0-megapixel camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilizations) and also a fingerprint sensor-based biometric technology for secured screen locking.

It is reported that the device will be released soon after its unveiling on 27 May, much before the completion of the G2 year-cycle, and this could affect the sales of Samsung Galaxy S5.
